OUR STORY

Three Generations of Baking

Kneading Joy started in 1998 when our grandmother, Kamala Devi, began selling her legendary coconut buns from a tiny kitchen in Malleswaram. What began as a neighbourhood secret soon became a Bengaluru institution.

Today, we still use her original recipes — kneading every dough by hand, fermenting our sourdough for 48 hours, and baking in stone ovens just as she taught us. No shortcuts, no compromises. Just honest bread.

Common Questions

We open at 7:00 AM every day. The first batch of breads comes out at 7:30 AM and pastries at 8:00 AM. For the widest selection, arrive before 10 AM — our sourdough and croissants often sell out by noon.
Yes! We do custom cakes for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, and corporate events. Please place orders at least 3 days in advance (7 days for wedding cakes). We'll schedule a tasting session to finalize your design.
We have a dedicated eggless range including our whole wheat bread, multigrain loaf, and select cookies. Our sourdough is naturally vegan. Ask our staff for the full eggless/vegan menu — we're happy to accommodate dietary needs.
Yes — we offer same-day delivery within a 10 km radius of our bakery for orders placed before 11 AM. Delivery is free for orders above ₹500. For cake deliveries, we use our own riders to ensure they arrive in perfect condition.
Absolutely! Our kitchen has a glass wall so you can watch our bakers at work any time. We also run monthly "Bake with Us" workshops on Saturday mornings — sourdough, croissants, and artisan bread classes. Check our Instagram for upcoming dates.
